To be uploaded as a formal Digital Doc
Intro design direction
Though a little messy, displays the specific outlining of the intro sequence. This, unfortunately as with many parts of the specific editing job, is subject to change. As we move towards the final deadline, and as we finalize interviews and audio recordings, more and more tools will be available to potentially rearrange the order of elements in this outline.
Specific elements that should remain consistent, however, are described on the right of major elements.
For instance, initial broll footage and specifically jarring transitions early on are designed to set a specific mood, that being clerical, abrupt, and jarring. Much of the rest of the project will be a mix of a very diminished editing style (that is, very minimalistic and "clean") and a very abrupt style (unclean cuts, sharp scene changes, exaggerated contrast between music, visual scenes, or colors)
Intro Informational Outline
**Full transcript unavailable, at least not at this stage**
Some focus topics
In essence, the informational outline is a set of "beats" that we are striving to hit in the outline. A lack of transcript is primarily due to the uncertainty of certain interviews. At the moment (11/4), 3 interviews are still either to be done or unconfirmed, as such a functional script is more than likely going to be completely altered when interviews are able to be implemented in the documentary project file.
Intro Animation
This is prone to changing
A significant element that I felt was going to be a good fit for the documentary was a set of smooth transitions and animated elements.
Though in the final product, many of these are likely to be solely templates and edited pre-created MOGRTs, a higher level of quality as well as a "modernized" look is necessary for thematic consistency.
Much of this specific shot is going to be white and black, though many elements as well as b-roll shots are going to be functioning off of our preliminary visual outline; that is, many of the color themes will be limited to blue, green, and neutral colors (gray, black, white).
Notes on assets:
Some functional assets like fonts include below
Additionally, there are some templates that I cannot upload to my portfolio, but will include a list at the end once I've compiled them.
