SWOT Analysis In-Depth
To the left is my SWOT Analysis graphic. While minimal in terms of information on the graphic itself, I wanted to specifically place major talking points inside of it and then discuss them at further length here.
My strengths primarily lie in my personal "modernity." That is to say, like much of my generation, I am coming off the cusp of the early-internet stage, and living through its development into what is becoming: an all-encompassing informational repository.
To that end, I see it as a strength that I am able to process information relatively quickly. In my time on the internet and throughout my educational career, I've prided myself in being quick to process. As an immigrant AND as a 21st-century "netizen," I also see that my naturally attained adaptability will be instrumental in my ability to shift gears when necessary.
Coupled with my focus on logical thought and my naturally curious disposition, being able to and motivated enough to explore the increasingly confusing and complicated world of the internet, and the data-driven world we live in, will be to my benefit.
On the other hand, I almost paradoxically find myself quite stubborn and inactive. Perhaps due to my ADHD, or for other reasons, I notice that I am occasionally incapable of motivating myself without my curiosities. That is to say, without some inner motivation coasting me along toward my end goal, I find it difficult to push forward. In the absence of mental stimulation, I am sometimes frozen with inaction. This is costly, both for my career and my well-being in general. This, along with my occasional lack of self-awareness in a high-emotional-intensity situation, often means I will make ill-contrived or poorly-timed decisions.
However, with enough personal work, and the opportunities I foresee, this may be solveable.
The rate at which tech is evolving is extreme, to say the least. This means that my high adaptability AND my intrigue in the tech-sphere are coming in handy. In addition, my want to work in a law field directly in the middle of this tech maelstrom will hopefully mean that more opportunities will arise as time passes.
However, I must also look out for potential threats. Namely, the possibility of a future that foregoes the use of lawyers altogether, be that as a result of extremely advanced AI technology, global politics pushing past the need for the profession, or the future going in several different other unforeseen paths. Regardless, it is necessary to remain vigilant.
